Early in the treatment, I actually left the office and went online to see if Dr. Jaques was a real doctor. According to the state of California, someone with that name is a licensed dentist, though I am still not convinced this guy is. I would not be surprised to see "Dr. Jaques" on the news, being lead away in handcuffs for practing dentistry without a lisence. 12k in dental work done by Dr. J. He didn't do it right the first time, then re-did it. A seven month ordeal that should have taken a few weeks. It turns out the porcelain inlays were improperly fitted, and must be replaced. Malpractice suit in the works. AVOID Dr. Jaques like the plague.
About Front Desk: Despicable. Tried to charge an extra $500. because I paid immediately after the exam, not before I entered the room. Then had the gaul to say, "OK, it will only be an extra $250." Am I buying a rug or getting dental work done?
About Hygienist: Dr. Kouyoumdjian seemed to be taking his cues from the more experienced assistant. So- the assistant must be good, right? He is just trying to keep his job, but underneath he wishes the guy who used to own the practice was back. 1
