Dr. Barber gave me my smile back. After I had neglected to attend to minor problems, they became major. When I finally decided to do something about an infected tooth, my first reaction was extraction. Although I live in Saratoga County, I had been recommended to Dr. Barber and had a previous good experience with him. So bouyed with the knowledge that he once helped me out in an emergency situation that I couldn't resolve quickly upstate, I once again made the trip to Brooklyn. And was I ever glad that I did. Dr. Barber saved the molar the I was going to have extracted by doing a root canal. As I had had an adjacent tooth extracted years ago (when I didn't know any better), I was a candidate for a permanent bridge. And that is exactly what I had made, and now I can smile again. Although I wouldn't say that the cost of negligible, I also know that it is considerable less than what it would have cost elsewhere. And most importantly I felt good about the experience. The main negative is that I often had to wait longer than a half hour past my scheduled time, which was a problem for me, as I had to drive back 180 miles or so after each visit. I was told that this happens when Dr. Barber attends to emergencies.

Low stress and fun environment.
Facilities are modest but warm, friendly and affordable.
Emergency treatment: Underlying structure of front tooth gave way and broke off my front cap (different dentist - 28 year old [though excellent] cap). Dr. Barber was there for me (his day off!) understanding the trauma and social difficulty (I do business with the public) of smiling 'toofless'. Work was completed within days with a creative (and so far effective) procedure saving my 'excellent' cap and many hundreds of excellent dollars as well. He is a humble and dedicated practitioner that will go out of his way for you. Probably why people travel and go out of their way to keep his services when they finally escape Brooklyn! Hey, just kidding about Brooklyn.

For the first time in my life, I don't dread going to the dentist... I actually look forward to it! This is quality, high caliber dentistry at reasonable prices. The staff are all pleasant and helpful, and
Dr. Barber is a miracle worker. When I first started using Dr. Barber, my teeth and gums were a wreck, but now they're healthy, and absolutely gorgeous. Even though I moved to New Jersey a few years ago, I still drive back to Brooklyn, to use Dr. Barber. He's the best!

Dr. Barber is the great!
He has done 4 wisdom tooth extractions and two root canals on me.. He is the best i felt no pain and was able to contact him whenever i needed him. Although the office isn't very professional its just for that reason I felt so comfortable. No one was uptight. Everyone looked like they enjoyed what they were doing. Most of all he is very affordable and trys to work with your budget.
I would definitly reccomend Dr. Baber to anyone needing dental work.

Worst dentist I ever went to! Needed a scaling but he evaded it. My gums got worse and he told me it was my fault for not brushing correctly! Billing/insurance person not there everyday, so never sure of cost at first. Dentist never watched what he was doing, even when doing root canals! No hygienist, he did everything. Staff unprofessional.

Dr. Russell Barber is wonderful - I have had major work done over the years and always professional and painless - I recommend him highly

Terrible do not visit this dentist. I made this mistake and its the biggest mistake I made. There are so many great dentists to visit, please don't let it be this one.
