The front desk is the worst. They are all very rude. Dr. Parr is a good dentist but I feel he and his office are a little shady. I say this because I needed to see a Periodontist. He suggested I see the one at his office, made sense. But they all neglected to tell me the Periodontist didnt accept my dental coverage (delta dental). Maybe its my fault, I didnt think to ask, I just thought that they worked in the same office they must accept the same insurance. So, I made my appointment and after my check up I was told I owe 275.00. I was surprised to say the least. It was at that point that they told me he didnt accept my insurance. When I asked why wasnt I told beforehand the receptionist tilted her head, shrugged her shoulders, and asked for my credit card. Of course I paid but I will never go back. Now they are making it very difficult for me to get my x-rays and records.
About Hygienist: The Hygienist is great. At least the one I went to was. Dont remember her name. Just remember she was cute :)

I must agree about the new staff at his new location, I think he is so good and caring to his patients. I must say at his previous location the staff was wonderful unlike here. I was so thinking about changing my dentist after so many years with him, due to the new staff. But I have decided to give them a chance, if I know Dr. Parr he will not tolerate his staff treating his patients that way. So this is my third appointment and I must say there has been some improvement. I have done whitening with him and it worked out great.

This Dr. is great. He use to be at a location where the staff was great. He just moved to another location where the staff is horrible. It is sad that I have been with him so long and now I am really considering going to another dentist due to his new staff and location.
About Hygienist: have not seen the hygienist at this location. Put his previous location the Hygienist was great, gently, well mannered, patient.

Dr. Parr is one of the best dentists I've been to, and he is quite clearly caring and dedicated. I went here for a regular cleaning and exam and I could tell instantly that everyone here was relaxed and caring. I was immediately offered an iPod (which was fully loaded, by the way) for during the cleaning. Then Dr. Parr noticed that my lips were chapped and actually took care of them right there. He didn't have to do that, and I'm sure my insurance didn't pay him for that, but he did it anyway. I got the best cleaning of my life and even thought about doing whitening here (though I was happy that they weren't pushy about it--I had to ask about whitening myself). I'd go back in an instant.

He is excellent and very nice. He does not push cosmetic procedures but does an excellent job with bonds, caps, etc. great overall dentist

This Dr is a great doctor. He puts you at ease. Lets you listen to music while he works. keeps you informed what he is doing. Great manners, staff and dentist.

I have been to Dr. Parr for a few years, and I have always had a pleasant examination and cleaning. Bear in mind that I have no serious dental problems and have not had any cavities in my adult life. Dr. Parr is congenial, upbeat, and I feel he has great karma. I have not been to his new office facilities (at Prosmile, 53 W 72nd St), but his previous two offices were not brand spanking new. Cost was very reasonable for New York City.

I went to Dr. Parr for a regular exam and cleaning, and then he replaced some old fillings with tooth colored fillings. He was great and his staff is very friendly, especially the secretary/receptionist. She makes you feel like you have been her friend for a long time, which is nice when you're nervous about getting dental work done. I recently moved away and they were very nice about sending me my records so I can give them to my new dentist. I recommend Dr. Parr very highly.
