I unfortunatley had to go with cheaper dental plan for 2010 and struggled to find a dentist within network for the plan. I finally came across a dentist close to my home that was not part of the Family Dental Care family. when I walked into the office it was like walking in a time warp. The place had a tv from the 60's and had never been dusted since then, coupons that lay on the counter expired for years, along with Christmas decorations also from the 60's that had never been taken down. German music blarred from the back room and I expected the old lady who I thought was the receptionist would have turned it down as we approched the room but it remained blaring the entire time. As I started talking to the women she finally said something that made me realize she was the dentist. she asked me why I was there and I tried to point to the teeth I was having issues with but was followed by a swift slap of the hand telling me not to touch my teeth ( I was not going to touch my teeth I was going to point to them) so again started to point and again a slap to the hand and another warning. She said she didn't do crowns or root canals or anything except silver fillings. I asked her what she did do and exclaimed

About Hygienist: "I do want I want" and I don't do that. I got up and said ok very puzzled with no cleaning, no feeling that I went to the dentist and she said ok that's $30. I said no my co-pay is $5.00 and she said no Edna look this up please, Edna or whatever her name was proceded to look through thousands of papers to find a co-pay and indeed it was $5.00. they only took checks or cash and really did not like to take checks. It's like she just kept going into the office and never retired. Someone needs to stop her.
