My name is Rob Medick. I made an appointment with Dr. Katzman for a cleaning and exam. After the cleaning a Dr. Caloca came in and told me I will go in back and Dr. Katzman will repair my cavity. I was led to a split room and Dr. Caloca was assisting, who I assume to be Dr. Katzman, with another patient. Dr. Caloca came in my exam room and removed the gloves she was using on the other patient but did not wash her hands. As a matter of fact, I did not see any of these so called professionals wash their hands. I told Dr. Caloca I did not want her to use novacaine, so by my reaction, she would not drill too deeply. She injected me with a lot of novacaine. Dr. Caloca then proceeded to hastily fill my tooth leaving an excessive amount of composite material to be ground off and finished by one of her underlings. There was so much grinding it smelled like my flesh was burning and the heat generated by the drill was unbearable. I originally made an appointment with Dr. Katzman, who based on her credentials, posted on the Hudec Dental website, I deemed qualified to be my dentist. Dr. Caloca never told me Dr. Katzman will not be repairing my tooth and she will be filling in. The next day part of my new filling fell out and I have been havin

Do NOT go to the dentist here. My family and I are new to the area and I went to the Strongsville office for a routine cleaning. I spent an hour listening to a sales pitch for a procedure that my previous dentist never even suggested and then was told I need an antibiotic that happened to be advertised all over their walls (red flag to me!). After I declined their sales pitch the dentist spent about 20 seconds looking at my mouth and the hygienist spent less than ten minutes cleaning my teeth. The icing on the cake was the call I received today asking why I wouldn't be coming back to the office. I cited the sales pitch. The lady on the other end of the phone made it sound like I was being "dumb" and immediately got defensive (another red flag). I told her the bottom line is Hudec Dental is not the dentist for me... and she followed up with saying "Thanks for not even giving me a chance!" and hanging up on me. As a whole this is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a dentist office... They are pushy and unprofessional. Might I also add this was all after the gut feeling I had that this place was not "nice" when I first made the appointment. When I made the appointment the lady asking me how she could make me smile to

I just hung up the phone with Dr. Hudec. While his office manager was very understanding of a situation, Dr. Hudec is very defensive, set in his ways, and unwilling to budge on important customer issues. He conducted himself poorly in a phone conversation having to do with his staff's customer service. The issue: My six year old daughter received an amalgam filling while at the office. This was our first filling at Hudec Dental and I did not know that they only do Amalgam fillings on children unless otherwise asked. The choice is NOT given to parents. I wanted the filling replaced and spoke with staff to make the appointment. I verified no change would be done without charge (TWICE). After waiting 1.5 hrs, to be called in, Dr. Waked informs me very rudely that this procedure will have to come out of pocket. She later in front of others berates the person who gave me the information about filling being free. I called the owner Dr. Hudec to discuss the matter and was surprised at the level of disregard for customer service and care standards. Do not go to this practice. BBB rating is D- and I now see why. The deserved rating is F-.

Dr. Hudec is a very good dentist and educates you on your teeth and any issues he finds with your dental care. The only issue I had with his facility was the billing process. Twice I paid them what they asked at the completion of services. I then received bills a month later asking for additional money but telling me that if i did not pay within 30 dyas, I would be sent to collections. It really made me feel like I was in error when i paid what they asked initially. I did not have a problem paying my bill, but felt as though I had committed a crime.

This was the worst experience I've EVER had with a dentist.I had a broken tooth that needed a root canal. The hygenist asked if there was any problem teeth that she needed to be aware of before the cleaning,I said yes that molar was broken and it hurt quite a bit,she then promptly sprayed cold water on it!I hit the roof.I should have walked right then. It only became worse.I sat in the chair for four hours while the dentist tried to reach all the root. The xray showed that it was an unusually long root but she felt the tech took a poor picture.Six shots and terrible pain ,at one point I was left in the chair for 50 minutes with no-one in the room and no-one telling me what was going on.The best part is when they told me(two weeks afterward) that it was going to cost me $400 more than they previously presented .I make sure I tell everyone I know how poorly I was treated.

A clinic like atmosphere. Apparently hires newly graduated dental students- the good ones tend to move on once they have the clinical experience to do so. Heavy turnover. O.K. for basic services, but our employees changed dentists when we got better dental insurance.

I very much enjoyed the professionalism shown when I had the work done, however, I did not like the pressure treatment and the attitude from Amy when I called to move my appointment from August 3rd to mid-September. I am on disability and spent well over a thousand dollars on preiodontal treatment in April. While I recognize the importance of regular maintenance, I did not have the $88.00 for an appointment sheduled for August 3, 2007 and I didn't appreciate the attitude because I didn't have the money.
