Dr. Elam is one of the best dentists in the city of Columbus! He has consistently provided superior care to my entire family of 4! He made my wifes veneers a few years ago and they look incredible to this day! She had a few small white spots on her teeth after braces that seemed to bother her sub concious. All of her close friends that know her smile before and after are jealous of her Hollywood smile! He always explains every procedure thoroughly when asked and my kids love him and his exceptional staff!

About Hygienist: Kasey, Cathy, Lewis and Christy have all cleaned my teeth and they are top notch!

He didn't spend much time with me. I am blind in my right eye and on my first visit he and the hygienist were in the cubicle with me. After asking several questions, he got up and was gone in the middle of my questions and the hygienist took over. He was on my right side so I didn't notice he was gone. Just got up and left without a goodbye and I had to finish asking my questions to the Hygienist. Don't expect any personal attention from a dentist here(Family Dental). If their hand is not in your mouth, they aren't making any money.

About Hygienist: Friendly and helpful.

I went to Dr. Elam with a toothache, he performed an extaction of the tooth. A few days later I felt somthing where the tooth was. I thought it was skin from my gum., in two more days my mouth was very sore. I discovered part of the tooth was still in my mouth and had become infected. I had finished all the prescribed medicine and had no more to take. His office is closed on fridays and weekends so I could not get an appt. not that I wanted to go back, but was in more pain than I was before. How does this happen? if you are a doctor, and how many other people have suffered due to neglect. I will never return to this supposed to be dentist.

Dr. Elam has been my dentist for over 20 years. I actually worked in his office in the early 80s. While I have worked for other dentists I always returned to Dr Elam for my own dentistry. The office is very professional, clean and Dr. Elam and his staff continually strive to keep up to date with current trends in dentistry. I would not hesistate to recommend his office.
