Dr Hoagland is a fine Dentist. I choose him because, one of his offices, is across the street from my apartment. I have been copming going there for a while now, getting my teeth cleaned. The staff is kind and efficent. The only problem is that the office is in an old coverted house and the rooms feel small, but the equipment is nice. Recently in late 2013, I noticed that they stopped answering one of their listed phone numbers, Lef message. no return call. I called the other number, they picked right up. other than those 2 bumps, no problems, I would recommend.

He broke my tooth- Dr. Hoagland suggested that i needed a filling in one tooth. I decided to take care of the problem early although i had no pain in the tooth. I was in excruciating pain after the anesthetic waned. I had to take opoid(very strong and debilitating) analgesics for three days. I went back to his office and was advised to "wait and watch'. Had endodontic treatment on the tooth after one year ordeal. During the procedure the endodontist discovered a fracture in the tooth. The tooth was removed. I am out of one tooth and a couple of thousand dollars after a bridge is finally placed by another dentist. I dont know if this is carelessness or intentional but either way people should to know.

Not thriled. Had an appointment because I thought I had a little discoloration behind my front tooth...He said it wasn't anything. Turned out when I went to another dentist I had to have a root canal done. My other huge issue was the smell. I couldn't figure out what the issue was until I was checking out and seen a dog. Very unsanitary! After my 2nd visit taking my son in, Dr Hoagland didn't speak to me until the end and all he said was "thanks for bringing him in" I felt that he was VERY unprofessional. I called to get my x-rays transfered to another dentist and they are still waiting on them...this has not been 3 weeks.

About Hygienist: The girl that took my x-rays put the film in my mouth and sliced into my gum line. I said something to her and she said she must not have had it in right..I said "ok" and then she adjusted it doing the same thing just in a different spot. My gum was sore for a week.

Dentist is GREAT..personable, professional. Atmosphere is serene & cheerful. Staff all kind. Makes going to the dentist enjoyable. Improvements might be a more comfortable waiting room. Also, there is an above average amount of incidents of mix-ups in their scheduling. Happens much too often. Also, referrals sometimes made to specialists who don't accept your insurance. Overall, very impressed with this dentist and his staff and will continue for many, many years.

Dr. Hoagland is the greatest, I've been with him 14 years. Always professional, courteous, and tries to save me money. Accepts most insurance plans, even medicaid.
