If you're looking for the best quality work, Dr. Shanker is the man to visit. Although not the cheapest orthodontist in central Ohio, he is definitely one of the best, if not the best. I had braces put on by a different doctor in Arizona and had that for one year before moving to Columbus, after which I switched to Dr. Shanker. Immediately, I was greeted very nicely by the receptionist at the front desk, and with almost no wait at all, one of the assistants took me back into the consultation room.
There, I had all of my X-ray images done, which took no time at all, especially with the friendly staff.
After I met the personable and charismatic Dr. Shanker, he explained to me that I would need another year and a half of braces (6 more months than what my first orthodontist prescribed). I was a little reluctant at first because of this extra time, and extra money (additional cost of $500), but I went with my instinct and became one of Dr. Shanker's patients.
The wait and the money was well worth the cost, my teeth were flawless afterward. Again, I really think Shanker is one of the top orthodontists around and definitely worth the extra cost.
He practices two days a week, and teaches the rest of his time at OSU Dental.

Great talent. I am very impressed with his abilities to make it happen. Up front, honest , sincere. He can get the job done. Fantastic results. My son had teeth that were pointing in every direction, small palette, teeth growing over each other. The treatment was right on the money. Straight teeth, great smile. Great job!
