I was treated only once and will never return to this office. Low quality and dishonesty are 2 things that come to mind. I lost a tooth and had to have a root canal done as a result of the procedure poorly done.

Do not see this Doctor! He uses fear tactics telling you that you have bone loss and advance periodontal disease when in reality your mouth is fine according to other dentists. He tries to use up your yearly limit by recommending things that are not necessary. He does not listen to your concerns and does not explain procedures he wants to do to you. Instead, he shows you these videos telling you that your teeth will fall out if you do not use his procedures. Then, the next time you talk to them they twist the story around. I did get one procedure done with him because I thought it was necessary and then found out by other dentists that it wasn't. I was supposed to go in for part 2 of the procedure and told them I wanted to cancel and wanted a refund on the remaining part of the work. Instead they told me that part 2 of the work was free so there was nothing they could refund me. All in all, the worst dental experience of my life.

expensive, but the facility is top-notch, very pleasant and the employees are very attentive and kind. they have an $80 fee for missing your appt. so watch out! I thought that the charge was a little'money-grubbing,' but they insisted every dentist does it (none of my dentists ever did). the doctor is very nice and inspires complete confidence. after going through one bad dentist already, i can say that dr. niderman will be my dentist in SF from now on as long as I can afford it. P.S. he is a holistic doctor, which means among other things, he minimizes your exposure to radiation during xrays and wont use mercury-based fillers.

This doctor is digging your pocket instead of taking care of your teeth. He pressured you to do deep cleaning ($1200) instead of a routine cleaning ($90). Its funny that his deeping cleaning is similar to routine cleaning. He also will take some pictures for you which cost $50, and what is the use of that?? The only thing I could feel from him is to get your money, and he does not care if the charge is covered by insurance or not. I definitely think he is a shame of having this career. He used this career to rob. I went there twice and will not come back again. I saw twice that the patients questioned them the price. By the way, he will not ask your permission when he tries to take facial picutres or do other things. So the bill is always a shock! I think somebody should get him away from this job.

I had some lower crowns done. I had both sides done, which made it very difficult to eat most foods for a week with the temporaries on. The procedure was very painful because I was not given enough novacain. I thought that was the worst part, but I am probably going to need 1 or 2 root canals that Dr. Niderman didn't or wasn't able to test for. The pain stills lingers even after 2 weeks.

Dr. Niderman has all of the latest technology in is office (digital x-rays, laser root planing), but he used the technology to convince me that I had advanced periodontal disease, and that I needed a $1200 course of laser root planing. I said, let me think about it, because $1200 is not exactly pocket change. There was also a weird "everyone does it" peer pressure vibe about that treatment--even the receptionist was pushing it--before he ever looked at my teeth! My research revealed that laser root planing is of marginal benefit as compared to traditional root planing, and at least 3 times as expensive. This led me to believe that he pushes the treatment on everyone to pay for his expensive toys. I then got a second opinion with another dentist (Dr. Felton) who noticed two cracked fillings that Dr. Niderman had missed, even with his wizbang x-ray! Dr. Felton agreed that I had moderate periodontitis and I did traditional root planing which worked just fine. I would not recommend Dr. Niderman, he will tell you you need laser root planing no matter what, just to pay for his fancy new toys. His "bedside manner" was OK, but he seemed more concerned about impressing me with his toys and credentials than addressing my needs.

I do not recommend Dr. Niderman. He has always seemed in a hurry, and his staff are ok - but not great. Everyone at the office is 'nice' but I did not feel like anyone went out of their way to answer questions, or give advice for good dental health and hygiene. You can certainly find a more personable dentist out there somewhere.

i agree with some of the other disappointed reviewers that went to see this dentist . i do not want to get into a long story and get upset about this, but let me just say that there are plenty of other very good dentists in the bay area and this dentist is not one of them. quite rude and unprofessional. save yourself a lot of headache and go somewhere else.

I do NOT recommend Dr. Pavel Niderman. My husband and I were his patient for 2 years. I had 2 onlays, 3 fillings, and 1deep cleaning done by him. He was extremely inconsistent with my treatment plan and sometimes he would contradict himself. When I pointed it out, he would become very upset and cut me short rudely. He would tell me different things even when I got the treatment plan on paper. The staff is friendly and nice, but I will not trust him to be my dentist any more.
