Let me first say that im a dental hygiene student at the University of Pittsburgh, so I definately have a good amount of knowledge in the field of dentistry. When I saw this particular dentist he was working at Katsur Dental. He was very nice, but the quality of work I received was very poor. I went in to have an old amalgam (metal) filling replaced by a nice composite (tooth colored) restoration. But instead he filled ontop of it instead of taking it out and you could see the amalgam right through it. To make matters worse he completely took off a portion of my tooth (the distobuccal cusp to be more precise)!! When I went back to see him about it, he acted like it was something normal and suggested that I get a crown (cap) on that tooth. Instead, I waited to talk to the Chief of Service of the Dental Department at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh while I was there on a check-up appointment for my wisdom teeth. He told me there were open margins everywhere which bacteria can get in and cause decay and advised me to get the whole filling redone and to never step foot into that office ever again.
