He was my dentist for a number of years but after a while I began to feel that he was recommending expensive treatments that I did not need so I went to another dentist in Austin. I just broke a crown that Dr. Butcher put in. At the time I was told (and charged for) that it was gold covered with porcelain. My current dentist just informed me that it was just porcelain. I was charged for something I did not receive. When I called his office to ask about this I was informed that they had no records older than the last 5 years. Convenient!

I've had cleanings, replaced some metal fillings, and had a crown done here. Dr. Butcher is a caring and very competent dentist. Highly recommended.

Dr. Butcher has been my dentist for years now. I found him right out of college and I had let my mouth go downhill. He patiently took care of my problems with nice looking invisible fillings. He worked with me financially. He is my dentist for good.

About Hygienist: Dr. Butcher's hygienist has been there for a years now and knows me and my mouth. She is really thorough.

The chairs in his office are cheap in terms of quality. They are flimsy and not very comfortable. The work on the one tooth he filled for me was terrible. I had to go back to get more work done on that tooth after the fact (damage control) so that I can live with it in my mouth without it cutting my tongue to pieces. It is still not right. The thing is, a dentist has to do his job right the first time. Nobody can afford to go back twice for the same problem. Also, teeth are not replaceable like consumer goods. You have one set and it is worth a lot. Bottom line -- I'll never go back to him, as do not want to be a guinea pig at my own expense. Good luck.

I have my teeth cleaned by his staff and doing other staff by Dr. Butcher. The treatment for the cleaning is very professional. She also gives me a a lot of useful tips in taking care of it. In terms of the cost, I need to ask the right questions to know all of what I am supposed to know.

Dr. Butcher is a very nice man and a good dentist. His office staff is friendly and helpful. My problems with his practice is as follows: 1) He has one hygenist working for him, Amber, who is a butcher on my gums when cleaning my teeth. She makes the visit highly unpleasant. & 2)They have poor quality (sound) FM radio playing in the office. It is so annoying to be strapped in the chair having to listen to crappy commercials for Apple Leasing and similar companies while having your teeth worked on. They should make an effort to provide a more soothing experience.

This office is great. Everyone in it seems very professional and smart. Dr. Butcher is totally on top of his game and is a nice person too. I've been using this practice for 6 years and have always felt like the service and advice have been top notch.
