Great dentist, and was good friend at one time when he was downtown. Changed when he moved to Galleria and his bitchy assistants did most of the work, and convinced me to have numerous crowns. I had good, good teeth then. Finally, I left him around 1990. Now I am 70, and have lost some of those teeth, and crowns fell out. I have always taken care of my teeth, but have lost 2 teeth, and have most of the crowns replaced, and two more crowns are falling out. I think, if I had not had all those crowns my teeth would be in much better shape today. Run, don't walk from those bitchy assistants. One good thing, he does used Laughing Gas, which helps tremendously.

My wife and I have had a very good experience with Dr. Crabtree over the years. We found his work to be excellent. He was very proud of his new machine that could make crowns and partials on the spot. My wife cracked a tooth right before her class reunion and Dr Crabtree was able to manufacture an exact fit on short notice. He had a warm and pleasing personality and would often spend time chatting with us while waiting for our turn to go in. God rest his soul.

Tried to make me replace crowns I have only had for 3 or 5 years. Every cleaning appointment, I am reminded I need to replace crowns.

I was very disappointed with his work, facilities, and especially staff. The doctor and his staff were awful, even told me I was wrong when I told them the work was not done properly. I paid for a very expensive crown and it was done wrong, causing me continued pain and cost. When I went back to get it fixed, I was told that there was nothing wrong. Well, two other dentists would beg to differ as they both said I need to get it redone. The facilities are old, out dated, and the staff was cold and combative.

True, if you do cancel your appointment you do have to wait 6-8 months to reschedule. Been a patient for over 6 years and time has extended not to 8 month wait

Hard to get an appointment if you ever cancel - backed up for over 8 months. Good location, but always crowded and hard to get in. You have to call a year in advance to schedule cleanings and then when it comes up and you can't make it, you've got to wait a whole year to get another apt. Very expensive and you can get the same quality at some other dentists in the area or even in the suburbs.

Dr. Crabtree is very nice and very gentle when he is working on your teeth. He has filled my cavities and while I think it is very expensive, I think he does a great job, and he lets you know what it is he is doing. He is a teacher at a dental school here in Houston, and I could see him being a great teacher. The dental technicians are also very nice, and have been very pleased with cleanings and customer service.

About Hygienist: not long wait, and he is gentle!!

I would say that Dr. Crabtree is one step above the chain dentists (like Southern Dental). You go in and sit in a chair in a room separated from other patients by dividers, the hygienist comes to clean your teeth and then the dentist stops by for 30 seconds to supposedly check your teeth. On my six month cleaning/checkup the dentist didn't even come to check my teeth, which is the point that I decided to change dentists.

Dr. Crabtree was great for routine cleanings and appointments. I was generally at ease in his office and had no complaints. I had trouble when I cracked a tooth and needed more extensive care. The doctor was impatient and rude when the numbing shots did not work as well as expected. He made me feel like I was wasting his time and that it was my fault that the procedure was not going as planned. I became upset which made the procedure that much more painful. Luckily the outcome of the procedure was successful. The process however was uncomfortable and painful.

About Hygienist: I haven't come across a better hygeintist ever. I wish I could remember her name. She was gentle, informative, had great manners and my teeth looked and felt cleaner than ever! She was great!

Dr. Crabtree has been my dentist my entire adult life. I would not go to anyone else! Recently, I had an old filling come out and he replaced it for a reasonable fee with a porcelain "filling" that he made in the office and bonded to my tooth in one appointment. It feels and looks great. The girls that work in the front have been with him for a long time, and I always look forward to seeing them. They are always very knowledgeable about my insurance and answering any questions that I have.

About Hygienist: Dr. Crabtree's hygienist has been with him about 5-6 years, and she is fantastic! Very thorough and professional, plus she is very friendly and sweet.
