Dr. Dunlap is, among other things, the best listener I've ever met. He is intense in everything he does, concerned about the patient's comfort both physical and mental, and absolutely the best dentist I've ever known in all my decades of life. This is an honorable, honest man with professional skills most dentists can only dream about and wish they had.
He is on time - most of the time except in case of emergencies- and I don't know where he finds time for his family and a life
Everything in his beautiful colorful office tells you he's wanting the best for you as you wait for a very short time. He stops at nothing until he has found the solution to a problem.
I've never known a dentist who was better with a "needle" than Dr. Dunlap! You don't even know he's doing it, much less know when he's finished He really is that good!
I was with him many years before I left Houston and honestly considered flying back there just for his care.
There is not a bad word to say about this man. He has a super laugh with his great sense of humor but can be serious as he discusses the care he intends to give the patient. If you are like me, a touchy-feely person, he will accept a reciprocate a hug. I happen to value that in anyone.
About Front Desk: He must select his staff so they mesh together perfectly. It doesn't matter who is at the desk: they are all great! Friendly, courteous, quick to answer a question, and always there to help in any way they can.

I have been going to see Dr. Dunlap for 25 years and my kids grew up seeing him as well. Besides being a really decent and caring individual, I really appreciate the fact the Dr. Dunlap is very cautious and conservative about any work that he does on one's teeth. I've heard of other dentists just going in and brashly doing crowns and other work that may not really need to be done. I appreciate his wait-and-see demeanor. Bottomline is that he is highly ethical and it shows in everything that he does from how he treats his staff to how he cares for his patients.
About Hygienist: The hygienist who works with Dr. Dunlap is extremely thorough and gentle and is an all-around lovely human too.

Like most people I am terrified of dentists. Dr.Dunlap was recommended to me, and in all my years of seeing dentists, I have never found a kinder, more gentle, more reassuring dentist. His office makes you feel you've gone to visit friends because not only is he exceptional, so is his staff. He is a master teacher and the most intent listener I've ever met. He is fixing what another dentist messed up and doing it with incredible patience.

Dr Dunlap is a jewel of a dentist: friendly, professional, concerned, compassionate. His office is beautiful & comfortable. His staff is superb. Other than being a great dentist, his best quality is that he is compassionate.

Dr. Dunlap is one of the best dentist worlwide! I have been a resident of Houston since 1992 and before I met Dr. Dunlap had dental treatment in other parts of the world and was very unhappy with my dental care. I thought I was a hoppless case. He did a wonderful job in my case and now Dr. Dunlap has been our family dentist for many years. All you have to do is see me smiling for a testimony of his work. I'm currently on overseas assignment, however, my appointment with Dr. Dunlap is always in my to do list whenever I get a chance to go back home to Houston.

Great Staff and great hours for the working indivdiual. My whole family goes to him. He explained everything in great detail. My son thinks he is great and was not scared of him at all!

Best Dentist in town (period)
Dr. Dunlap is extremely gentle.
He explains everything he is doing. (he could be a teacher)
He does and excellent job and is more concerned about your health and your teeth than making money.
He's not just a good doctor, he is a good person.
My family and I have been seeing him for over 20 years.
Because of his care and recommendations, I no longer get cavaties and my teeth are in excellent condition.
