Dr. Spurges is a very good dentist but 'DO NOT LET HIM MAKE BRIDGE FOR YOU! Several years ago, he was my dentist. The only problem I ever encountered was a bridge he made or had made for me. The color was completely differenct in color from my original teeth. The bridge was a bright white and my original teeth was was not as white. When I talked or smiled, you would really notice it. After 20 years of living with this, I finally got this corrected. The total price was $1,400 out of my pocket.

I started going to this dentist years ago and I keep going because he is kind, skilled and gives the best shots!

About Front Desk: 5 stars. Betty is very helpful and very good with billing and filing insurance.

About Hygienist: 5 stars. The staff is always gentle and that is a definite plus for me.

I gave this dental practice 2 years (4 cleanings), but it is past time for a change. Dentist reviews x-rays by holding them up to the fluorescent office light in the ceiling and says "looks good!" Hygienist's cleanings were substandard (whether it was Lee Ann or now Pam). Dental exams were very cursory. The office isn't very sanitary in appearance or practice: One can observe same debris and splashes up on the chair lamp over the course of months. Last (and final appt.), dentist walked in, dropped an exam glove into the sink and was going to put it on and use it in patient's mouth anyway.

About Front Desk: The dentist's wife Betty is a sweetheart. Cherie is down-to-earth and friendly if a bit chatty.

About Hygienist: Inadequate cleanings, felt like being a hostage while in the chair listening to Lee Ann's disturbing, disgusting, and dysfunctional tales of horror and woe; patient should have sent her a bill for having to listen to all of this junk. No wonder she wasn't able to complete the first cleaning in one appointment. It was a relief when she retired, but her replacement Pam did not do very good cleanings either, but at least she just absentmindedly hums to herself rather than dump her life's dysfunctional emotional baggage all over the patient.

Dr Spurgers is a very good dentist and has been treating my family for years. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

About Hygienist: Lee does does an excellent job as well.

A very relaxed quiet office with a dentist that I trust to not do work that I do not need. Very nice staff and Dr. Spurgers is very laid back guy. My slightly wild-and-crazy children are always welcome there, and they look forward to getting a toy treat when they are done with their cleaning.

Dr. Jim has an excellent chair side manner. Goes out of his way to make sure you have no pain. No problem getting an appointment. Very personable and outgoing. Lots of good stories. Hygenist is good but kinda chatty. Betty the receptionist is great! You do not have to wait very long in the waiting room. Ask for anything and he will try to do whatever he can to make it better.
