Dr.Almquist recrowned a tooth with a cracked root and then refused to refund my money after 2 other dentists confirmed that the tooth was cracked before he ever did the crown. He also did a crown with an open margin that I found while flossing my teeth. Had I not found it, I would have lost the tooth to decay. He did redo the crown after I showed him the open margin but I had to suffer through another prep and lose more tooth structure on a tooth that had already been prepped. He also had to redo another crown that he did not do right the first time. The tooth was over prepped and now I may need a root canal. I have since had to extract the cracked tooth and have an implant. I would not recommend Dr.Almquist for dental care.

I am almost afraid to post such a good review because everyone in the San Antonio area will want to use Dr. Almquist. He is the most gentle, caring, benevolent Dentist my husband or I have ever met. Not only does he have a caring staff, great facilities and reasonable prices, but he has the best bed-side manner we have ever experienced. His touch is the most gentle and he is always keeping you informed of his next move, which puts a dentist-phobe as myself at the utmost ease. This is also an extremely alruistic man who volunteers one day a week at the Bexar county dental clinic. I travel almost 2,000 miles now that I don't live in San Antonio to see him twice a year. Enough said?
