Right off the bat the dentist made me feel like I had all these problems with my teeth, made me feel like I had horrible oral care(which the periodontist said was excellent) and was not very positive about the recession I had. I had a crown come loose and Dr Porter would not even touch the tooth!! sent me to a specialist saying I needed a sinus lift and all this other crazy stuff, that after seeing the specialist I do not need. He thought the tooth was cracked. The crown eventually came off ,,the tooth is structually sound I have no problem(pain) with it so the crown was glued back on . Eventually I will need an implant there for it is a moler but I have a little time befor I have to shell out thousands of dollars for that tooth( again). I have opted to find a new dentist in the area mostly because of the one hygienist and the front desk- money collector who is just tackless ,maybe she does her job but she as well needs to remember who the paying customer is. I called the office to ask if they accepted my insurance they said "Yes " failing to tell me they were not in network,, so sure they will file your insurance but make sure they are in network cause they charge more.
About Hygienist: The first hygientist I had was either having a bad day or just lacked social skills I think she said 3 words to me the entire time I was in her chair. My son had the other hygientist and she was wonderful ( has red hair) very friendly. If I was to go back I would only use her.

Dr. Porter has a great personality for a dentist. He explains things succinctly and calmly, and manages to keep an upbeat vibe in the office. I've enjoyed going to him for my dental needs.

Dr. Porter has been my dentist for about 6 years. I have had LOTS of dental work and he is one of the very best dentists I have had. He has a great office with excellent personnel. When necessary, he has also referred me to to some very good specialists.

Dr. Porter is the best dentist I have encountered in my life. He is thorough, gentle, professional and highly skilled. He takes the time to explain all procedures and brings the patient into the decision-making on dental care. He is great with children. He is a credit to the profession!

Dr. Porter has a very calming disposition and excellent skills. His staff are always friendly and attentive. Dr. Porter make you feel at ease in his office. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
