I highly recommend this dentist! I had crowns, new fillings, cleanings, replacement of old fillings. A crown takes one visit, he makes them on site and you walk out with your crown.

Dr. Mitchell has been my dentist for 25 years, since he finished dental school. When he opened his own office, I switched over and when I married and moved to the Pinole area, we made the extra trip for appointments. I still see him and my husband and three children (12, 14, 17 yrs old) are patients too. He has always used a friendly approach to dentistry and I have never had to wait past my appointment times. The office staff are wonderful, too, and I like that he employs interns throughout the year and mentors them through procedures - he encourages the next generation of dentists and hygienists! Dr. Mitchell also incorporates new dental techniques so I know he stays current on the latest procedures and innovations for his patients. While I book my appts ahead for the next visit, the staff always leave a phone reminder a few days before which can be a lifesaver if you're a busy person. Though our family is fortunate to only have to receive services for twice a year cleanings and the occasional sealants, I am confident in his work and highly recommend him to friends and co-workers new to Alameda.
About Hygienist: While there are usually 2 or 3 different hygienists working during the week, I have attached myself to Deann who has been in the office for many years. She does a thorough job cleaning my teeth and I am sure that when I walk out of the office, every tooth has had a good scrubbing.

Dr. Mitchell is professional, yet makes me laugh. Hygenists are thorough and kind. Beatiful converted Victorian house is the office--lots of charm.

I didn't have to wait long to schedule an initial appointment or for my follow-up procedures. Dr. Mitchell's sense of humor put me at complete ease. From the moment I first stepped into his office, I felt comfortable. His staff is efficient and friendly. My needle anxiety was met with respect and disspelled by great care. Couldn't recommend him more highly.

Been going to Dr. Mitchell for at least seven years. Great Dentist. Has a fun attitude and sense of humor. Nice office in a cozy victorian house. Also had a crown done several years ago and haven't had any problems with it.

Dr. Mitchell and staff are great. Visits were always treated with utmost respect for my time, and I am a very satisfied patienet. It is a nice place he's got there too, so it is not the tipical visit to the dentist that everybody fears.
