I am writing this review on behalf of my sister who I've witnessed only enduring continuous pain and swelling from two root canals that were performed by Dr.Bruce Hanley, late last summer. Both root canals were poorly done and has only caused pain from infection not being cleared out completely!, I am not proud to to say that I have had several root canals by a different orthodontist but I am fortunate to have never encountered such complications like my sister is still experiencing. Toothache is excruciating pain and I know that my sister's pain threshold is high as she went about her busy schedule enduring the pain, as she thought she was treated by a great dentist with rave reviews! Seven months later, my sister is still in pain, has had to have one of the tooth that root canal was performed on extracted, weeks before her wedding! Needless to say, my sister is slowly but surely getting better care and service at another sedation dentist! Folks, you have been cautioned!,

Good bedside manner but both the fillings he did came out within 3-4 months. They had the audacity to charge me again for those and would not adjust. Won't go back.

WOW! Imagine, my surprise when my I showed up late to my daughters first filling. My husband took time off work to get our four year old daughter there on time ahead of me. I rushed to get my son to school in a separate car. We were riddled with guilt, already, having not taught her how to brush, the trauma, the pain.... the therapy bills!!!!! I rushed through morning traffic and sat nervously in the waiting room anticipating the worse. I watched the clock tick, as the sweat poured down my face, when suddenly, Dr. Hanley appeared, I jumped up, and said, " Can I come back to see my daughter", He replied, "She is done", "Done, I said", I looked at the clock , "But ... it has only been 15 mins," I did not hear any screams of terror, nothing, In an instant she appeared, skipping with toothbrush in hand, all bright eyed and bushy tailed, smiles and ready to take on the world, all in 15 mins! What!!! So much for negative reinforcement. Amazing! professional, state of the art! will not go anywhere else.

I moved to the U.S. 2,5 years ago, and since that time Dr. Hanley has been the best doctor I've ever met in this country. Shortly after arrival I faced a severe tooth problem (my tooth started to deteriorate which caused me unbearable pain). Dr. Hanley was so kind to come to his office at 11 p.m. to help me. Other doctors refused to do that. My husband has been a patient for many years, and Dr. Hanley was the best dentist he could find. Since our first meeting, I've received the best dental care I could wish for. Even though I eat a lot of sweets (I love candy), I don't have any problems with my teeth. Dr. Hanley always does the best job. I don't feel any pain during the procedures, too, as I often had with other doctors. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and courteous, and the office is a state of art with all modern equipment in it. Even if we move out of area, I'll keep coming to Dr. Hanley's office. I would definitely recommend Dr. Hanley to other patients. I think he's the best dentist in the area.

As my general dentist, he put in about 9 crowns, ostensibly to correct my bite. He made two bite plates. and did a couple of root canals. My tmj and bite continued to get worse. He sent me to a TMJ specialsit whom I did not trust. I was told by two physicans along with two other dentists not to go to this man because he bilked patients of money with poor results. When I changed general dentists to one on my insurance plan, he said he could not approach my mouth and to see a good prosthodontist. I consulted two people who both told me the crowns were poor, two were cracked (and poorly shaped for my mouth). After a search, I have ended up with a highly rated prosthodontist taking a thorough approach to my mouth, consulting with an endodontist and periodontist who will work with him to rebuild it. He said the crowns were so heavy for my teeth that they contributed to the wearing lower teeth,to my TMJ, bite and new perio problems.. Today the endodontist went in to one of the root canals and found that Hanley had missed a root; both it and the prior root had infection seeping into the bone. I had a swollen lymph node from it under the jaw. Hanley is a nice man who means well, but I've wasted a lot of money on his work.

I went to Bruce Hanley for 2 cavities. He did such a poor job on both these - one of them he kept it so high that i was in pain for days due to a poor bite. I went back to him - it would have been a simple procedure to file it down but he insisted that was not needed. The second one, the filling came off and when I went again, it had become so sensitive - he did the root canal. My mistake that I didnt go to an endodontist. Anyway, that tooth developed sensitivity so on my 2nd visit, he literally knocked that off - causing jaw pain and then told me - "oh i seem to have missed one - this molar has 4 instead of 3 roots! " I have found a better dentist - one who even adjusted my bite on the other tooth for free in 2 minutes (one which bruce hanley refused to fix).
