I would gladly recommend Dr. McVay for any dental procedure and would never consider going elsewhere for any reason. The staff is very helpful and upbeat, appointments are always on time, Dr. McVay and the hygienists are very knowledgeable, affable, thorough in their explanations and work. I have had procedures from cleaning to wisdom tooth extraction from Dr. McVay and I have never ever had a problem or recurrence. With any treatment, the pain-killers are administered with skill as the pain is always minimal to none. The costs are great and they are very helpful in helping figure out the best way for insurance to cover a procedure. If you need a dentist for any procedure, go to Dr. McVay!

I would never recommend this guy to anyone whether friend or enemy. He has a horrible personality, and seems really to only care about the money. I got the feeling that had I not been able to pay in full, he would have shown me the door. I went to him for a consultation and let him do one filling, and then never went back. He was rough, abusive to his staff (he berated his assistant right in front of me, and you could tell she was hurt and embarrassed), and seemed very intolerant and hurried. The last thing I want is a dentist who is in a hurry and doesn't like me. His office is in an old building, and I guess they do walk-ins, because they kept me waiting (and I had an appt) to see someone who walked in off the street. Don't go here.

Dr. McVay and his staff are very affable and pleasant. He is excellent at administering anesthesia, and is very considerate of the patient's particular needs. I recommend him highly.
