I would characterize my experience with Dr. Finkler as very troubling. I was referred to him as I was experiencing pain in the back of my jaw that involved the area of a capped molar. Throughout the entire visit Dr. Finkler’s comments and explanations that I now know were replete with evasiveness, misinformation, and confusing messages. He performed a procedure on me without fully explaining the treatment and its potential results, that I later learned from another provider, was unnecessary and that my symptoms didn’t warrant the procedure as the discomfort came from a non-dental source. Dr. Finkler’s treatment was actually harmful and left me with a damaged crown. In retrospect, it appears to me now that Dr. Finkler’s unwarranted treatment was his attempt to inflate his billing charges. My impression of Dr. Finkler is that he doesn’t fully embrace the concept of patient autonomy, that being a patient’s right to be fully informed and allowed to make their own intelligent decisions based on the provider’s complete and truthful information about their health and dental treatment. Beware of this provider

This office seems to stress on making sure you pay before anything happens. This office is also extremely expensive. I have insurance so most of it would be covered but they want you to pay before insurance is filed. Isn't that why we are paying to have insurance? So we dont have to do that. Also Dr. Finkler said he can't do root canals on a calcified root. I thought endodontist a were root canal specialists. He recommended that I pull the tooth and get an implant. My dentist totally disagreed and said the tooth can be saved. In fact they couldn't even believe he would say that. Not sure if someone else there would have been qualified to do it but he didn't recommend anyone. Dont recommend this office.
