A dedicated professional with no guile and no games. I have referred numerous people to her who started out with incredibly bad teeth, and she makes sure they have a healthy mouth at the end and have work done at a pace they can afford. If she was a brain surgeon, I would trust her fully for that too! I feel Judy is a friend and certainly hope she feels the same.

I was referred to Dr. Karinen by a co-worker who had been a patient of hers for several years. I had a badly cracked and damaged tooth from a botched job by my prior dentist. Dr. Karinen used a state-of-the-art technique learned by attending continuing education sessions at a professional conference, and she saved my tooth. She has a conservative philosophy, and by that I mean that she is an advocate for saving teeth rather than pulling them. She keeps up with current techniques, she is expedient yet gentle, and she truly cares about her patients. When she sees something that concerns her, she explains everything clearly and involves the patient in the decision about what course to take. My husband and I moved to another town about 50 miles away, but we still make the trip to Beverly Hills for our dental care. Additionally, the support staff is excellent. One time they even went outside to plug the parking meter for me, because my procedure took longer than expected. There is virtually no turnover among staff; the same people have been there in the twelve years I've been seeing Dr. Karinen.

Dr. Judy is personable and thorough - two excellent qualities in a health care professional!

I am extremely pleased with the service and treatments from Dr Karinen and her office. I despise going to the dentist and have a very low pain threshold. However, I have found her to be very gentle, quick, and through in all her treatments. I have recommended her to all friends.

Dr. Karinen is technically gifted and a skilled "artist" where cosmetic results are concerned. She and her staff are personable and have been in practice many years. Though I moved to Altadena, I still drive a great distance across town just to see her. My teeth deserve her extraordinary care! Her costs are determined by Delta Dental and other policies. Dental insurance is limited in scope and generally poor, but that is not Dr. Karinen's (or any dentist's) fault. I highly recommend Dr. Karinen.
