I had my all four of my wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Barry J. Skaggs this past friday, January 18, 2008. Today, Jan. 24, 2008 I had my post operation exam scheduled with the doctor at 11am. I know the doctor was in the office because he even walked past me around 11:30am. Shortly thereafter I was called back for my check in. After seeing the assistant she told me the doctor would be right in. She quickly returned to tell me the doctor had left. He had just walked out without ever seeing me. I have questions, I have sweeling on my jawline that seemed to concern his assistant, so much so that she told me if its not gone to call back so I can see the doctor. Oh really, is he gonna show that time or blow me off again. Now I'm left wondering and hoping that these additional questions and issue just solve themselves. I can't believe the UNPROFESSIONALISM. I'll NEVER return to this doctor and I hope that you find yourself a professional Oral Surgeon with at least enough bedside manner to stay for an appointment he's already 40minutes late for.

To be honest, Dr. Skaggs is NOT in my area. He came recommended to me from my normal dentist, who first asked me if I wanted "the best". He "extracted my third molars" (all 4 wisdom teeth at once) and i'll say that compared to everyone else I've ever seen have their wisdom teeth taken out, my recovery was no more invasive into my normal life than a regular dental checkup and a few days of careful chewing. No swelling at all and so very minimal pain (I was taking 1 advil every 4+ hours for pain for the first 5 or 6 days!). My extraction was just pulling for the top 2 and a more complicated extraction on the bottom 2 impacted teeth. It's been 2 full weeks since my extraction and I'm already 100%. People are all amazed to even know that I've even had any of my wisdom teeth pulled. Price wasn't too much of an issue cause with insurance, i paid less than the extraction of 1 tooth. I would recommend Dr. Skaggs to anyone. You'll see why when you go get a consultation on your upcoming oral surgery.
