Made me prepay for the surgery then submitted an over inflated bill to insurance company. Never mailed my reimbursement check then charged me an additional $35 for "canceling the check" in order to re-issue. Nice little scam you got going Doc

My family have been patients of Dr. Doerfler for many years from wisdom teeth to dental implants and procedures my kids needed done for braces. We have always had good service and he is an excellent surgeon. He is well known in the area and has rightfully earned his good reputation. I would suggest his services to anyone. A+++++++

Be careful. They have a new 'high tech toy' CT scan equipment, and they will force you to take the scan. This was the first time I had ever been to an Oral Surgeon's office. When filling out paperwork, they asked me only for my dental insurance, and did not even mention medical insurance. The doctor barely peered into my mouth before telling me I needed an expensive CT scan, even though I gave him X-Rays of all my teeth. I told him plainly that I did not want a CT scan, but he insisted that he could not perform surgery without a CT scan. I asked if it would be covered by my insurance, and they assured me that it would be. Several days later, they called me and told me that because I have HMO, my surgery would not be covered. They could have told me all of this during initial paperwork, but they held their tongues until I had the CT scan. Despite all their assurances, my PPO insurance did not cover anything, so I did not get anything out of this visit besides a handful of bills. I do not think I was an exception, but rather that this was their policy towards all patients.
