My son needed all 4 wisdom teeth out...and had a strange "extra" tooth (that no one had noticed before) under his front right incisors....this tooth was fully formed. So...he had to have 5 teeth out at once and we thought...let's do them all and get it over with. Amazingly, he just slept through the night, has awakened and not asked for his pain medicine after only 24 hours. Had mine out at the same age (2 at a time) and this was NOT my experience. So...clearly, Dr. Voorhees is a gifted surgeon. 2 were badly impacted and the front buried tooth was very tricky to get to. I am mightily impressed. And, he was wonderful with my son, allaying his fears. Bravo

I went to see Dr. Voorhees to get my wisdom teeth removed. I was very nervous but he made me feel comfortable and as calm as expected. He has a very sweet and caring personality, making it easier to relax. I am an incredibly anxious person so that's saying a lot.

This guy has done my kids (widom teeth) and me (wierd extra bone growth) and he is truly great. Excellent bed-side manner, etc. I have never, ever bothered to rate doctor or dentist but this guy is exceptional in every respect. He also makes sure that you are not in pain - thats a big thing for us. We are all big babies. But he does not over medicate (you have to watch this with teenagers). He just gets it right. You will be pleased. I have several kids and it gets expensive. He has even given me a bit of a break here and there. I think he feels a little sorry for me; how refreshing.

Dr. Voorhees, did my daughters jaw surgery, and did and AWESOME job. He is also working on my TMJ, I wouldn't trust any one else...

I came to him because one side of my jaw was locked shut and he did all he could do to fix it. He gives you all your options and lets you choose. He also spends the time to explain what is going to happen. His office is also very quick to get you an appointment when you need one quick. He is the best I have been to.

A wonderful oral surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone. I have gone to him for two different occasions and both times he has been extremely caring. After both surgeries he called my house that evening after he got home on his own time to make sure how I was doing and give even more ideas on how to take care of myself. His rates are very reasonable and the staff goes out of the way to assist with dental insurance. Both times he has been very through and I have had no pain or discomfort while he is working on me, and even the days after the surgery I have had minimal pain and discomfort.

I would suggest that if you have unusual problems to seek out a pyhsician that can deal with your needs in a more specific manner. Austin Oral Surgeons is a group endeavor and they are dealing with many, many patients in a very random way. As with most others in the medical profession, if a mistake is made, you are on your own.

Dr. Voorhees is kind, understanding and meets all dental needs. He answered all questions on a level of understanding. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Voorhees took care of my son after a falling accident. He made him feel comfortable in such a scary situation. He is compassionate and caring! The front desk and staff took great care of us!
