I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Miller in her office when I accompanied one of my students who has special needs to her office. For the past year I have been trying to assist this particular student and his family at getting dental care. I am sad to say this has been a very sad and eye opening experience. My student is covered by Medical Assistance (MA) and trying to find a dentist who will take MA is quite a challenge. I find it shocking that receiving dental care is so difficult for MA clients, especially for those children who have no other options. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Miller for taking the time to give my student the dental care he so desperately needs and wish more dentists would consider taking on MA patients. I now consider myself an advocate for those MA patients and the doctors who are willing to sacrifice a little income to help those who deserve the right to receive dental care.
