I had gum grafting and bone scraping done by Dr. Shlossman in March '06. He's very thorough and exceptional at explaining procedures to the patient in laymans terms! He even got out pen and paper and drew pics which I found VERY helpful! I'd had a problem tooth/gum for 2 years & 6 different dentists could not detect the cause. Dr S. thought it might be cement from the crown under the gumline, but after he "got in there", discovered it was bone loss and scraped the bone. That tooth/gum area has been pain free ever since! He also killed 2 birds with 1 stone by taking tissue from that area to use for the gum grafting on another area. I was concerned because the healing from the two procedures was slower than I'd expected, but Dr. Shlossman reassured me that I was healing normally. I am now having severe problems with another dentist's work and will contact Dr. S to repair the damage. (even though I've already paid this other dentist almost $1,700!) Someone had told me prior my to going to Dr. Schlossman in 2006, that they'd stopped going to him because his wife, who works for him, was extremely rude and curt. Personally, I found her to be very pleasant and helpful. My only complaint is that his name is long to spell. lol
