I have been using Dr. Joseph S. Levy for approximately 10 years. He is a good general dentist- cavities, crowns, maintenance of healthy gums. What I especially like and respect about Dr. Levy is that unlike many other practicioners, he does not perform procedures that should be deferred to the dental specialists. For example, he does not perform root canal or place porcelan laminate veneers. He takes the time and effort to administer adequate anesthtics to avoid denal pain. His costs although not cheap are competitive and reasonable taking into account his office lacation in NYC. He to my knowledge does not participate in insurance plans although it is possible he may participate in a few that I am not aware of. Front office is always helpful and considerate. They will assist in insurance form submission. Concerning his chair side manner, it is excellent- a real pleasant professional. Hygenists are in my opinion competent.
