I went into Dr. Blanchaert's office today to get my wisdom teeth removed (4). Although the westside office is elegant and sleek, and some of the staff are courteous, I feel as though I was just another patient. In fact, I can't emphasize how immensely I felt as just any other patient. I understand that this is routine for them, but this is serious for me. Having never undergone surgery of any type before, I was nervous beforehand and the staff did little to calm my nerves. I wasn't asked if I had any last minute questions, I just felt as though they ushered me in and ushered me out. They were also rude and arrogant towards my father. Being condescending towards your patients is NO way to do business. Even when I called a few hours after my operation with some questions, they put me on hold for 7 minutes and when I finally did get to speak to someone, she shoo'ed me off the phone after one simple question. I had 5 more, but was too angry to even bother calling back. Dr. Remy is a charming individual, even if it did feel like an act, and I'm sure he did a fine job on my teeth. But I have never felt so alienated by a staff before in my life. It is a pity that just adding a little reassurance to my visit would've gone a long way.

About Front Desk: Their receptionists are standoffish, extremely impersonal, and arrogant. You are a DOCTOR'S OFFICE. Your most important job is to assure patients that they are in good, caring hands. They completely and totally fail in this regard. And others.

I know this doctor: one year,
