Other than cleanings, I had 3 fillings done by Dr. Tsaknis. He did not use any form of numbing, said it was "better for me" so I would be able to eat afterwards. Not having had a filling for a long time, I said ok, thinking how painful could it be. Incredibly. I won't be doing that again!
The right side of my mouth where I had the fillings continued causing me pain, over a month after it was done and after 3 "adjustments" (I was not able to chew on that side without a stinging sensation). They were more than happy to bring me in on short notice for adjustments, which was great. On the 3rd adjustment Dr. Tsaknis admitted that I should not be feeling any residual pain and said I should make an appointment to have the filling redone. I asked him point blank, something along the lines of -- "so, was there a problem with the way my filling was done that resulted in this?" His response was brusque and attempted to redirect blame -- "according to the American Dental Association, if a patient continues to experience pain you remove the filling and redo it so that's what we're going to do." Wow, talk about not admitting to a mistake. Had it redone and, guess what, pain continues. Ridiculous. Needless to say, I am MOVING ON!
