I recently had my first (and last) visit to Dr. Robin Tran for a cleaning. After a long wait, I was presented a full page of things that NEEDED fixing, with a total CO-PAY of several thousand dollars. After I checked my insurance's copay schedule, it turned out that not a single copay the dentist listed was correct. Two days later when I returned to actually have the cleaning performed (which I had asked for on the FIRST visit), I asked them why the copays were so wrong. Their response was that my insurance didn't fully cover them because that long list was of items that I didn't actually NEED. I was very upset about this deception. And then when I was about to receive my actual cleaning, the dentist was not aware of the actual procedure I had discussed with the front desk. I had to take the initiative to even ask what she was going to do, and then let her know that that was not what I had asked for. She then seemed somewhat angred, and very quickly (less than 15 minutes) did a VERY aggressive deep clean of the entire mouth. Of the very few words exchanged between us, she told me that my teeth/gums will be sensitive for a while. When I asked how long, she said it could be hours, days, or months, depending on the person.
