This dentist posts on Groupon for $40 x-rays, exam, and cleaning. Beware! What happens is they ask you to fill out paperwork to find out if you have insurance. Most people doing Groupons for the dentist don't have insurance. They do the x-rays & ask you a bunch of questions while you are sitting in the chair. The questions are centered around finding out how much money you make or how much money you have to spend. Since this dentist is located in Orlando, FL and they are advertising on Groupon, obviously... they are attracting a lot of tourists. Tourists go on Groupon to find deals while on vacation. It might seem like general questions and conversation, but when a business asks you nosey questions, it is business related. When they ask you where you work, it's to find out how much money you have or how deep your pockets are. This is such acceptable social behavior. We really must be aware of how people abuse this seemingly innocent social question to find out personal information about you. Anyway, they do the x-rays. Then, you would expect the cleaning to come next, but they with-hold the cleaning, because if they give you that, your Groupon is over, and you have gotten everything you paid for & are free to leave.

About Hygienist: So, they withhold the cleaning, and instead, the dentist comes in and says I have six cavities. I haven't been to the dentist in a while because I don't have insurance, so I had them filled. I thought about it later. I've never had any problems with my teeth or sensitivity. My regular dentist always tells me that I have a beautiful smile and hardly ever any cavities! So, I ask for my x-rays from this dentist. They ask why? That should be a red flag. A lot of people ask for their x-rays because they are expensive. They can take them with them, so they don't have to have them re-done within the next two years. It's the customer's legal right to a copy of their x-rays and work done. So, the office charges me $20 to email me the x-rays and the x-rays they email are chopped off meaning that the teeth aren't shown in full like they were shown to me in the office (because they do shady work and they know that I didn't have six cavities). I paid $1,350 for six cavities. They also sold me a mouth piece that cost $250 which is included in the $1,350 price. They told me that I grind my teeth, but my guess is that they tell every customer that. In order to convince me to buy the mouthpiece, they said, well... you don't want to break your teeth do you?! They also referred to the lines in my teeth and said they are cracking, but those lines are perfectly natural and everyone's teeth has them. Look in the mirror with a flashlight or good lighting and you will see the lines. It's natural. They use fear to get you to buy things. They said, you don't want to have a root canal do you? They said that to convince me to buy the six fillings. My x-rays don't show any cavities & I think I was ripped off... I will be sending my local dentist my x-rays. I have gone to the same dentist all my life until my insurance ran out. So, I will forward my x-rays to my dentist that has all my previous ones and I will have him take a look at it. The only reason I bought this Groupon is because I don't have insurance anymore, and I was tricked into spending more money, when I really needed a second opinion, because I was scammed. I thought I was spending $40 on x-rays and cleaning, and got scammed into believing that I needed six cavities filled, EVEN though I had no sensitivity! I hate dentists, now. Every business is a business and they are out to get you!
