Dr. Seigel never showed up one appointment. Worse, his office said I owed a $580 co-pay for a crown done on October 28, 2009. Although I questioned the amount because I was a member of Aetna Dental DMO Plan which has low co-pays, I paid the fee. Later, when I was going through Open Enrollment in August 2010, I learned my maximum co-pay should have been $180.
Aetna representatives confirmed my co-pay should have been $180 and interceded on my behalf to call Seigel's office. After much wrangling, I received a $350 refund instead of a $400 refund. His office claimed there was a $50 fee witheld for lab work. Now Seigel claims there was a $70 fee for a Core build instead of the $50 , and I owe him $20! I reported him to the Better Business Bureau and consider him unethical.
