I've been a patient of Dr. Carter for over 10 years now. When I first came to see him, I already had many big fillings and a few crowns. Over the years my old fillings gradually needed to be replaced, and I needed more and more crowns. Dr. Carter has always been rather conservative, and never pressured me to get the latest and most expensive treatment.
I've never had any major problems with the treatment, but some of the crowns did not feel completely comfortable, and had to be sent back to the lab. He has always been very friendly and very patient, and was never in a hurry to treat the next patient.

I have been a patient of Dr. Carter's for about 15 years. I very much like the entire staff at Hughes Dental. I have seen a few of the other Doctors also. They are also very nice. It's a good feeling to be treated like a friend and not so much like a patient with a number.
I had a problem with my the billing and my account. I think that was a problem with a new computer system or something. I took a while to solve. I went to another dentist because I was very upset. My insurance even payed more for my work there! I thought that it was great, even less out of my pocket. The problem was he told me I needed all of this work done and that my teeth were all cracking. He told me I needed 3 crowns and a couple of fillings. It was a ton of money when they got done talking to me. I thought that was strange because I just got my teeth cleaned and Dr. Carter examined me 6 months ago. He never told me I needed this stuff.
I decided to go back to Dr. Carter just to see what he would say. He explained everything I needed to know . Bottom line is I did not need all of that work. Sure I probalbly should have a crown put on one of those teeth though. Dr. C will do it!

Lots of pain. I explained that I have had troubles in the past and he still was not careful. I needed to get emergency care the night after a crown temp was put on and I go no help. Had to borrow some hydrocodone from a friend to sleep, and I still missed work the next day.
Ouch. Staff is great though, don't get me wrong, he just needed to be a little more careful.
