Read Reviews for Dr. Lesley Samuels
Dr. Samuels is a gentle and extremely professional individual with excellent communication skills. She answers all questions thoroughly and with patience. We were referred to Dr. Samuels for a second opinion after another orthodontist was about to pull 8 teeth from my 7 yr old. Dr. Samuels opted for a better, slightly longer term process which would yield better results (at the same price). In a nutshell, Dr. Samuels advocated an expander and a slower pace, making more room in my daughter's mouth, rather than pulling the teeth which would have made my daugher's mouth smaller (and have been painful). My daughter loves to go to her appointments, as do I, as everyone in the office is friendly and kind. Thank you Dr. Samuels and Staff (especially Celesta)! The office space is a bit small but they are currently expanding that space.

Unprofessional doctor walks out in the middle of explaining the procedure to answer another doctors call never to return. The doctor states that she will do something at the next appointment but then completely forgets till reminded by a patient several appointments later, and then she rereads her notes from the past and acknowledges the errors. Does not answer patient or parent questions clearly and does not double-check her assistants work, some of the assistants are better then others. The office is crowded, dingy and dark with not enough seating in the waiting area. It is extremely difficult to make appointments since the doctor is often away on long vacations. There was one really good orthodontist working in the office that left after less than a year; another one came but also left after a few months.
Positive about this orthodontist: Dr. Samuels has a reputation as cheap for the area you get what you pay for.

I was made fun of because my fiancee' would always come with me to the visits, while another visit went without her even talking to me. Most times, she only talked to my fiancee', not me, and always seemed to get a laugh at my expense. She even told me I was a little high maintenance, just because I asked reasonable questions.
I really did not know what would happen at each visit, she would not explain what she was doing while doing anything. My treatment required the input of an oral surgeon to do an implant, but she never explained how we would coordinate my treatment. I felt like it was up to me to make it happen.
The office is crowded without privacy, all four chairs are in the same room separated by four feet! Of course this leads to a lot of noise and chatter amongst the technicians and patients. This setup may work for pediatric patients, but not for adults. I finally switched to a new orthodontist.

Excellent job on my children's teeth. Front office is small and can be crowded and making appointments in advance can be a little difficult, but the result is more than worth it. Excellent technical skills, great with children. Very good office staff.
