When I went there for braces, I was estimated twice as much as another place. The orthodontist I went to see was one of his teachers in dental school (Dr. Allman who is amazing! See Dr. Allman instead of this guy).
Later, I went to Dr. Trotter to get an extra retainer (in the event I lost my other one). When I called to pick it up, they wanted me to make an appt but I live in san diego and have to go to another orthodontist since driving back and forth is the worst. My mother asked to pick it up, but they were reluctant to let her. When she explained that she already paid for it and it was legally her property, the finally agreed to let her. The next day, they called and said that they didn't have it anymore and that they threw it away.
The day before they had said they had it, and suddenly it magically disappeared. They wanted me to come in again to make another retainer, saying it would cost more this time. They said that they throw them away if they aren't picked up but they never gave me a call to let me know they were going to do that. This is just an elaborate con to get a second payment on office visits/fittings/ and a new retainer.
DO NOT USE DR. TROTTER!

Dr. Trotter is a really nice guy and a good orthodontist. However, I do feel my braces came off too early and now I have to constantly wear a retainer to try and close the spaces between my teeth. I have to admit that I am getting frustrated and wish that my braces were left on longer so that I wouldn't have this problem!

He and his staff are great. I was a high maintenance patient and they took great care of me. They took payments.
I took my daughters there. They enjoyed him and his staff.

Teaches part time at highly regarded dental school. Graduate of excellent dental school. Very nice manner with child patients. Professional staff. Dr. takes time to explain procedures and progress of orthodontia. Lovely, child-friendly office.

We are extremely impressed with the care given our son by Dr. Trotter.
His facilities are without par, extremely relaxing. The waiting room has full amenities including a movie room! The kids love ti.
He and his staff take the time to explain all procedures and options.
We fully recommend Dr. Trotter.
