While today was the first day of my treatment, I have known Dr. Rideau for 6 years. My first consultation with him was back in 2010, however, because of the complexities of teeth and jaws, I did not go forward with the treatment. My second consultation with him was last year, and he still remembered me. He and his staffs gave me lots of welcome. This second consultation did not go through either because of my insurance. And today, I was finally able to start my treatment. All of the X-rays and prep was done by an assistant/dentist. She took her time with me. Then Dr. Rideau came to examine my teeth and put the placeholders in. He was very quick and efficient. I did not feel any pain at all.
The most important thing to me is they are very on time, and my appointment started and ended right when I was told.

Dr. Rideau handled a difficult situation with a retainer with ease. He was kind, thorough and educated us about the next steps. Excellent care!
About Front Desk: Chan is always helpful. She builds rapport and once she knows you she will check you in with a nod and smile, even while helping another family (while that family is checking their own schedule). Great!

Hands down the best orthodontist in the bay area
I needed braces 3 times and he delivered them 3 times for me without any unnecessary pain or complainance. He is such a nice, sincere, and honest person who is willing to help anyone that is in need of service.
I definitely recommend him to anyone in desire of a fix-up

I have had 4 children see Dr. Rideau and have been pleased with the results for each of them. They are very professional and the office runs like a well oiled machine. Ann is super in getting things set up for you and the ladies I have worked with in billing are excellent! Dr. Rideau and technicians do a superb job!

I wish I had never sent my daughter to Dr. Rideau for her treatment.
It has been a nightmare. About 4-5 months into the treatment, things were not going well. The old problem was still there, and new problems were introduced by his procedure. The mid line of front teeth was shifted, the new tooth was growing onto the wire of the braces, and he didn't do anything about them. Finally he said that he could not find any space to expand her jaw, and he asked me, " You tell me where I can find the space." Come on, the phase was called expansion and he didn't know where to find the space after 10 months! He suggested to pull 4 teeth to make space...His attitude was not friendly any more ever after he found out the problem of no space.
We finally quit after we talked to other orthodontist and oral surgeons. We lost money, 13 months of time and my daughter had to go through unnecessary suffering and was left with a worse orthodontic situation.

It's been a while since I've seen Dr. Rideau. He is the nice man you'll ever meet. I came to him to get my braces. Even with all the pulling and tugging while tightening my braces, he managed to make it as pain-free as possible. The staff there are always greets with a smile and are always there to help. Though it was quite costly, I think the professionalism and genuineness of the people there made up for it. I came back after 5 years when I lost my retainers, he still remembered me.

So far I've had 2 kids go through Dr. Rideau's office for his orthodontics spec. His staff is friendly, courteous, and calm (a plus when you have a nervous child). Dr. Rideau has great chair-side manners and is very concerned about the kids and what is best for them. That doesn't always mean it's best for him. I have a sinking feeling that my two other kids are going to need braces but I'm glad to know that we are in good hands with P.D.O. and Dr. Rideau.

Both my children used Dr. Rideau. He is wonderful! He has a calm, pleasant nature and really knows his stuff. My children often get compliments on their beautiful smiles. I would highly recommend him to any one.
