Twenty-four years ago (before the Internet) Dr. McDonald did not approve of the oral surgeon I chose to perform a mandibular slide. He wanted me to choose Dr. Ratner. Since a friend had chosen Dr. Mandel and had spectacular results, I decided upon Dr. Mandel. When Dr. McDonald knew I would not change my mind, he decided to punish me and proceeded to take out too many teeth, to narrow my lower face drastically, and to keep me in braces six months longer than I needed so that he could guarantee that the mandibular slide I had would fail. It did. After the surgery, I looked like "The Scream" a portrait of a distraught human by Edvard Munch. Being ignorant of the entire procedure, I believed that Dr. Mandel had done this to my face, but when I got a second opinion from Dr. David Hochwald, he informed me that McDonald was responsible. Since then I have had plastic surgery, submalar implants and fat transplants, to return my face to normal proportions. Thank God for Dr. Val Lambros who helped me through this ordeal and helped me look pretty again. Another review said Dr. McDonald is pompous and feels he is a god. I agree.. DO NOT GO TO DR. MCDONALD.

I was an extreme case of asymmetry and had a very bad cross bite. Dr. McDonald did a great job in correcting my problem. He was highly recommended to me by my dentist and he truly lived up to his reputation.
