Dr. Shimizu is the best orthodontist in his field. He is professional, honest, and really knows what he's doing. My daughter's teeth were really in need of braces. Her teeth were growing on top of each other causing pain in her jaws. We came to him when my daughter was just 9 years old, when I saw signs that she needed braces. He checked her teeth out and advised us to come back when she's 12 because he didn't want me have to go through treatment twice since her teeth would likely need to be fixed again later in her teenage years. I saw another ortho for consultation and he was in a hurry to put braces on my daughter. I realized Dr. Shimizu was the one for us and now after 18 months, my daughter has the most perfect smile. He has a beautiful office, wonderful, friendly, and professional staff. I will not recommend any other orthodontist, but Dr. Shimizu. He is just the best.

Dr. Shimizu and his staff are awesome! I waited 30 years to have my teeth straigtened. Being a mature person when I could finally afford the cost, I wanted to make sure I got the best results possible. I had four consultations with other orthodontists before seeing Dr. Shimizu and did not feel alot of confidence in their approaches to acheiving my great smile. Dr. Shimizu was totally good about communicating all of the options and costs and letting me know which one would work the best for me. I left after my appointment and thought; "It just doesn't get any better than this!" After having crooked teeth for forty-five years (and hating it!) Dr. Shimizu was able to straighten them in 16 months!! The cost was a little bit more than the other guys, but I didn't mind at all and thought it was worth every penny to have such a competent, professional and friendly Dr. and staff. Thanks, Folks!

Dr. Shimizu is AMAZING!!! My daughter got her braces on and didn't feel a thing! i love him and will recommend him to everybody.

Dr. Shimizu is very personable and friendly. He always engage in friendly chat with us while treating my daughter. His office has been newly renovated and is very modern looking. The waiting area is comfortable. The entire staff is friendly and professional. The cost for the service is probably near the high end but in my opinion justified given the superb service and facility. Note their office is open Mon-Thur only.

What I most appreciate about Dr. Shimizu & staff...they speak directly to the child. Often adults disregard the child, and speak only to the parent(s). This was not the case in Dr. Shimizu's office. My daughters both felt valued and included in the decision making process, which added to the success of their treatment. Their professionalism, expertise, and welcoming environment made the experience very pleasurable.

We met with Dr.Shimizu for braces for our son, who has special needs (in the ASD spectrum). Dr.Shimizu and his staff provided wonderful care and cheerful disposition while treating our son, Sid. We really appreciate his patience with him, given his special needs and sometime anxiety... He always took time to explain what he was doing and what is coming next; seemed to do what is right for the child. Our son, initially anxious was very comfortable going to Dr.Shimizu.
Regarding fees, since we were very happy with the services, did not compare... I was told by our friends, we could have found cheaper services, but we were happy with his care, that we are have stuck on for post-brace services too.

I have taken both of my boys to see Dr. Shimizu. They have been to two other Dr.s before, and they both recommended to start treatment before age of 10. Not the case with Dr. Shimizu, in fact he recommended that we should wait longer. I felt I can trust Dr. Shimizu, because what he said before all turned out to be true. We are actually looking forward to the starting of treatment with Dr. Shimizu.

Dr. Shimizu: "I can straighten your teeth in 9 (nine) months, with no extractions."
Me: "Prove it."
He did. 9 months with monorails and my teeth look great - all 32 of them.
Dr. 'Zu is The Man. Go see him

Great personality. I can't comment on the cost since I don't know how it compares.

Excellent dentist, excellent staff, and excellent results. The most unbelievable part of the whole organization is the functionality that exists internally - almost always a good vibe, and its sincere. I can't imagine a better combination of value items.
