Dr. Robert Maroon seems to be a scam artist! Do not fall for his Orthodontics coupon deal for Premier Dental of Eastlake. He advertises his ortho treatment in the local mailers for either $2,995 or $3,995. Robert Maroon is not a Board Certified Orthodontist. It is not his "Specialty". Unfortunately, I found out the hard way... I should have known it was "too good to be true".
I had my son in Robert Maroon's ortho/braces treatment for about a year and that was all we could handle before we bailed out. During this time he lacked communication skills and he would typically relay important information through his front office receptionist. He also seriously lacked orthodontic skills. He wanted to extract one of my son's tooth after he already put the braces on to make room for alignment. The next thing I know the receptionist is asking me for my insurance info saying my son needs a tooth pulled out... I was like??? Not to mention the fact that the tooth should have been extracted before the braces went on. But I have since found out from my son’s new orthodontist that the tooth doesn't need to be removed... Dr Maroon just lacked the ingenuity and skills to do the braces alignment correctly.

Went in for cleaning and was told the office had scheduled to do a deep cleaning on my teeth. When I stated that I wanted to go to a Periodontics specialist for this the front office staff was extremely rude and stated they would not authorize a referral. I have a PPO, I do not need this DDS permission to go to a Periodontist specialist. When I told the front office staff this the rudeness was increased. When I asked for my x-rays that my insurance had already paid for the told me it would cost me $50.00 for my x-rays.
You are in an open office area and are forced to listen to this unprofessional staff gossip then have them bill your insurance for a full set of x-rays and refuse to give you the x-rays they have already been paid for so you can seek treatment from another dentist. This is the most unprofessional staff I have ever had the displeasure to have to deal with

Went for cleaning & full checkup. Saw Dr. Ileana Maroon, who practices out of the same office.
Waited about 15 minutes in the empty waiting room. Spent a lot of time waiting inbetween each person coming to do their part. After the cleaning was done I waited another 20 min for the quote on what future work I might need, such as fillings that may turn out to need root canals,as well as replacing a filling that was missing a large chunk. I think I was in the office for at least an hour and a half.
They submitted the quote to my insurer, for pre-approval, and I received my reply from insurer a few weeks later. I would have expected the dentist to be concerned about my health and therefore given me a call right away to schedule an appointment. It is 3 months later and they have not called, since I was unimpressed with the visit, I did not call them either. I have a hole in my tooth, as well as 2 or 3 other spots that could need a root canal. Yet this dentist seems entirely unconcerned.
On the plus side, the office seemed clean and contemporary. They had movies playing at each chair for the patient to watch. The Dr. was careful to ask how I was feeling and warn me if something might hurt.

Dr Maroon, together with his staff, is really very hospitable. Services are rendered in an extreme professional manner. I have gone to other dentists before, but still came back to Dr Maroon for further treatments. He makes the procedures look very easy for him, and results....awesome. I feel that he is realIy concerned in his patients' teeth and thus making each and every patient a master piece. I had a few decalcification in my front teeth due to my former braces. But he just improved everything very easily. Cost wise, very reasonable and competent around the area. Customer service is wonderful, very systematic and treatment plans are very well explained. By far, all the treatments done to me are more than successful and im very satisfied. Im more than willing to recommend him to others. Wonderful, wonderful work.
