Braces for my daughter. Treatment was not successful, work was incomplete because he kept changing the balance after our insurance company paid him. He is very expensive. I will not recommend him to others.

Dr. Sushner is fine. Very talkative, does his job well enough. His staff, however, is not. The receptionist/hygienist is extremely rude, incompetent, and unhelpful. Scheduling an appointment with her was overly difficult, she made the visit take much longer than it should have, and she was unbelievably rude throughout the entire process. She was so bad that I would definitely not return and would not recommend seeing Dr. Sushner even though he is a fine orthodontist.

BE CAREFUL!! Retainers and appointments after the braces are off are NOT INCLUDED!! Dr. Sushner is very expensive to begin with, but the financial hemorrhage does not stop after the braces are off, office visits are $125 and the mark up on his retainers is over 200%. You'll be out about another $1000 after the first visit after the braces are off, and $125 for each office visit after that. Plan accordingly.

Like anyone would, I did a lot of research before I settled on meeting with Dr. Sushner. My first appointment with him immediately put my sub conscience on alert and in hindsight i should have listened to it. He started grilling me on my financial background. It felt like he was trying to gauge how much he could charge me. I was extremely comfortable but i agreed to another meeting. He ran tests but would not tell me how much they were going to cost. He said that until the tests were complete he would not quote them. On my second appointment he said we were going to map out the treatment plan. Again i felt like we went through an extremely unprofessional negotiating round. He subsequently tried to put braces on me. He acted surprised that i would want to take some time to think about a $5,000+ expense. He called me repeatedly for a month to nag me about starting the treatment.
From the look of his office i got the impression that he hasn't had business in a very long time. His equipment looked very outdated too. I understand that it is a recession and that orthodontics might be one peoples "luxury for better times list" but i should not feel like "prey" in his office.

I went to Dr. Sushner at age 39. 22 months later [and 2 months ahead of schedule] I walked out of his office with a totally re-arranged mouth. Everyone was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I'd take my kids there if i had any.

Neil Sushner is a very intelligent man, he not only helps your every need but he is very accommodating. He keeps in touch with you to make sure that all is going well and is in all very friendly. The office is very nice and sanity. The staff is very friendly and there is hardly ever along waits. I have been at this office to remove my braces and whiten my teeth. I have had a lot of orthodontist and trouble with many of them. Neil Sushner has been by far my best orthodontist, I recommend him! The service is somewhat expensive (as most are) but it is well worth the price and as said before he is very accommodating.
