I am a 57 year old male with a lifetime of extensive dental treatment that includes a 6 tooth frontal bridge since I was 16 because my two front teeth actually grew in as a single, albiet large, fang.er..tooth. I have maintained a fairly consistent cleaning scd., about every three months and have experienced every hygenist under the sun. I became acquainted with Dr. Chan most recently concerning an extraction my current dentist had strongly advised me to have. I had left untreated some decay in my lower molar area and was told the decay was so extensive it had spread under my gum tissue and could not be treated unless that area of gum was folded away, or cut, from the tooth first, so my dentist would have unobstructed access to the decayed area. For this, I needed to see a specialist dentist, called a periodontist(sp?) It's a treatment these dentists do qquite frequently where they cut away the gum from the infected tooth. exposing the entire area of decay. $1000 was the cost, and it was not fun. The specialist did the cutting, telling em to wait six weeks for it to heal prior to having any further treatment on the tooth. The plan was to return to my regular dentist to have the decay removed and a crown installed. Anyway, about 4

continued-when i return to my dentist he tells me the gum had grown back and covered the tooth again. So back to the specialist for another surgury.Long story short, the decay becamse so extensive the tooth had to be removed. Dr, chan saved it. best dentist in the world. hands down. I live in Oregon and will only see him. Absolutely aMAZING!
