It is time for Clayton Charbonnet to retire! He obviously can't see very well, or maybe he's just a liar and doesn't want to own up to his mistakes. Either way, I'm having to suffer because of it. I was treated for 9 months by Charbonnet, and I had to get the hell out of there before he completely destroyed my teeth. The day that I had my initial banding for braces, he did ipr, BIG MISTAKE! I asked him about it repeatedly, and also his staff, when he mentioned the possibility of it. I was told repeatedly that it was like sliding a sheet of paper between your teeth, or even floss, just enough to make it slide effortlessly. Liar! The thought of removing any of my enamel concerned me, and I made that known. I had no idea if or when he was going to do it, or to what teeth. Well, as I waiting with my mouth open for braces, he pulls out his hand piece and went to town, I had tooth enamel going up my nose and in the back of my throat. I kept putting my hand up for him to stop or pause or something, but he whittled away. I sat up and took the plastic things out of my mouth and asked for a mirror. I had large gaps between my centrals, and laterals, laterals like pegs now. He also chipped several other teeth. Need veneers and bonding!

DO NOT GO HERE!! I gave it 1 star only because the system required it. I would actuallly rate this office a -10 or less. This orthodontist has a completely inflexible policy regarding appointment times. My teenage son has now had braces for about 2.5 years and is now in his first year of high school. This orthodontist will not allow him to schedule his appointments around his school schedule. I tried to explain that using school time for appointments can potentially affect his grades, interfere with the strict school attendance policy and my son's ability to compete for the TOPS scholarship program because of missed school time. This orthodontist did not care. This is taking too long and the orthodontist is rude when you ask him about anything. This orthodontist staunchly refused to be flexible in scheduling my son's appointments so as not to interfere with school. My overall impression is that he is very rude and does not care about children. I would urge anyone to go somewhere else where hopefully they can find an orthodontist who understands that missing school is very detrimental, especially high school. Go elsewhere to find an orthodontist who cares about your child and is not rude to the child and parents.

If you are looking to wear braces for a long time then he's your man. After being told 2 years should do it, I am still wearing them after 3.5 years and I am told I have another year to go. Very unhappy with the rate at which my teeth have been moving and the length of time between apointments.

It is very difficult to get an appoint with Dr. Charbonnet. He is habitually late for his morning appointment. He does have great hygienist, but overall his front desk staff is not very helpful. If we were not in this so long I would make a switch, but we are now stuck. They are not accommodating with weekend and late evenings. I feel he starts braces much to early and locks you into years of treatment.
