I am so disappointed with Dr. Chang.
After I finished my first treatment, I wore my retainer like I was supposed to each and every day. However, almost four years after I had braces, I was told by my dentist that I would have to have braces again because I had developed an open bite.
Again, I wore my retainer and followed everything Dr. Chang told me to do, so I was a bit surprised to say the least.
I am currently on my second treatment right now, and I've had braces for almost two years. I've had to constantly go back for extra appointments because I had a poking wire or my wire my was not in the tube.
I would not realize these things until a few hours later and never bothered to check whether or not my wires were in place, since I had always assumed that they would be willing to make sure for me.
Whenever I need assistance or feel discomfort, his assistants were unwilling to help and thought that I was a nuisance. If I didn't have a problem with my braces, why would I spend my time "bothering" them?
I feel he and his staff are really inconsiderate and have bad attitudes towards their patients.

My 2 sons have had their braces put on by dr changs office. My older son's teeth and jaws were so out of alignment that my general dentist said he'd probably need jaw surgery to correct his problem. Well, dr chang took a look and said he'd give it a shot to try it without surgery. That was 3 years ago, and now he's almost done w/out surgery, and he looks great. A minor miracle if you ask me. His staff is the best, super friendly. I've recommended his office to neighbors and friends w/o reservations.

The office is only available to patients tuesdays and thursdays, no mondays wednesdays fridays or weekend appointments. This doctor only cares for his convenience. Hardly keeps appointments and I'm always waiting to be seen.

Dr Chang and his office staff have are GREAT!!!!! they have worked with me on Appointments... Payments... everything ... my daughter loves to go in and just say hello...

Very dissatisfied. Started well but end result was poor. Lack of hygiene. Instruments were not completely sterilized because of over crowding.

I didn't have too many complaints about the actual orthodontic care I received (my teeth are now straight as they should be), however I can't say much for his customer service and "bedside manner." He told me that if I didn't take better care of my braces he would clean my mouth with a toilet brush, and seemed to completely ignore me when I told him I was in actual pain (not "discomfort" as he said) after he tightened my wires (I was on prescription painkillers for it every month after my appointment), as well as getting angry with me for stopping wearing my bottom retainer (which he explicitly said I could do on my previous visit) and for not coming in sooner (I had gone to his predecessor and he had said to wait, I came back to this guy who berated me for not being in braces sooner, this is probably where I should have left).
My dentist got annoyed with him because he didn't tell his patients to get their teeth thoroughly cleaned before applying brackets so that the plaque wouldn't sit there and decalcify the teeth around the brackets/bands for the duration of my treatment.
I am hearing that he has mellowed out a bit since his child was born, but I am not terribly convinced.

Price is good but service is only so so, and kind of rough and hurried at times. Interim result is not bad but final result is still to be seen.
