my daughter and I both got braces from Dr. Barron and had excellent experiences at this office and his Deerco office. He is professional and caring, and it would recommend him without any reservations. I still see him for retainer checks and couldn't be happier with the level of service he provides.

Dr. Barron is intelligent and his methods are effective; however, he is not a flexible or facilitating individual. He tends to keep you as far out of the loop as possible with what is happening and generally spends less than a minute with you per visit. The end result is very good, but I am certain many other orthodontists would produce equal results for far less money. Is it truly so difficult to accommodate my simple requests and answer my questions and concerns? I had very expensive work that was originally supposed to take approximately 6 or 7 months. It has been 15 months now and I have been told that "they will call me" and see if they can schedule me any sooner so it won't take a total of 18 months.
About Front Desk: The staff at the front desk is a faux polite, but it is bearable. They are not spectacular. My one true complaint is that they completely refuse to let you speak with Dr. Barron. I had a few questions concerning the orthognathic surgery I was coordinating and was entirely unable to contact him. Infuriating...

Being from out of town, I did not know who could help me with my permanent retainer that had come lose. After finding Dr. Barron (who used the same system of braces that I had), he immediately agreed to help me and did so with such professionalism and care. I highly recommend him.

Buyer beware! We used Dr Barron for both our children because of convenience - he visited our child's dentists office. Our child didn't need a lot of work - upper braces for protruding teeth. Dr Barron's exams were cursory - often consisting of a brief 15 sec look and a glance at the chart. At the time when the teeth correction was expected to be complete Dr Barron declared we were done. I pointed out the teeth were still protruding, (the reason for the braces) and after taking a more thorough look, the braces stayed on. However few adjustments were made at subsequent visits and the teeth continued to protrude. Various reasons were given: short roots, teeth slow to erupt, etc. then abruptly the braces came off. The protruding teeth? Oh we'd bring them back with the retainer. 4 short months later, we now discover we need "finishing". What were we thinking? a retainer can't bring back protruding teeth - that's what you use braces for! Oh, and the business manager will be in touch about the NEW bill on top of the many thousands already spent ...

Dr. Barron is no longer in towson. He is now located in the Timonium area on Deerco. He must be the most awesome orthodontist ever. I had a cross bite and buck teeth and within the first treatment my teeth were looking amazing. I only had to go to the office 4 times within my whole treatment. HIs new HYBRID brackets are self ligatating and they moved my teeth very fast but painlessly. I recommend Dr Barron to everyone in Maryland because he is the best out there in our state. He works with Damon brackets and speaks around the country to other orthodontist teaching them about his technique. You will be amazed how beautful you will look after treatment! Damon brackets are the best- dont settle for the old, painful, conventional ones. let Dr. barron give you a mouth to smile about.
