It seems as if he is more concerned with all the latest gadgets and immediately assumes and expects you to buy a lot of things which are not needed. The first appointment I was coerced into buying a special electric tooth brush specifically for my gums and tartar, although I already own a very good electric toothbrush. He infomed me his was better. It was all packaged up and ready for pick up at the front desk and was included in the bill I had to pay which was not supported by my Insurance company. In addition he expects every patient to be fitted for a special mouth piece to prevent you from grinding your teeth. I don't do that and refuse to buy it. He says everyone needs it. The pressure is on to buy, buy, buy. I am also questioning his dental work. My teeth never hurt before I went to him. He removed silver fillings and replaced them with porcelain, and now they hurt whenever I eat any fruit or drink cold liquids. I am very dissatisfied with my experience with Dr. Skurow and am looking for another dentist.
