Dr. Gibbs is honest, straightforward, and takes great pride in his professionalism. It's sad to say that so many orthodontists in Manhattan are little better than scam artists - Dr. Gibbs is the ONLY one I met (interviewed 5) who was honest. He is the only orthodontist that takes the entire dental picture into account. (Ask your orthodotnist about gum health and be prepared for bs or a blank stare.) Read about the relationship of braces and gum recession and then run to Dr. Gibbs to keep your kid's teeth from falling out years later. Instead of preventing the problem most orthodontists blame it on the kid's bad brushing. How sick is that? They cause a problem and then blame it on your kid.
I would never go anywhere else and plan to have him do my own teeth after my son's are taken care of - I am grateful that my son will have healthy teeth and gums his entire life because I did the research ahead of time. Dr. Gibbs is the only thing my divorced wife and I can agree upon.

My son had braces with Dr. Gibbs. Excellent service. He did not try to rip us off as other rock star dentists do. No early braces, retainers, etc. He waited until all his baby teeth were gone and away we went. Excellent results without over-paying or frivolity. He's also a funny and personable guy so visits were amusing and pain-free. My son's teeth are perfect...which is what matters after all.

Dr Gibbs provided orthodontic services to my daughter who has had her braces off now for 1 1/2 years. Her treatment was excellent- on time appointments, attentive office staff (nice about rescheduling, always call if you've forgotten to schedule needed appointments, nice to kids who go on their own after school), thorough and thoughtful care. My daughter initially was to have only top braces but when her bottom jaw grew more than expected, she needed bottom braces added for which we were not charged since it the original quote was all inclusive. Dr. Gibbs himself is a pleasant guy, good with the kids, and always returns calls and will update the parent who can't get to every appointment. As far as his office goes, it is what it should be- a carpeted waiting room with a tv and magazines to read and seats. It's not spa like because it should not be spa like. It's a waiting room for teenagers!

Very very competent and very personable. I highly recommend him. He 's terrific with both kids and adults. I could spend time hanging out with him, he's so real.

Orthodontia is never cheap, but he isn't particularly over-the-top and he lets you pay it out. Explanations of the position of the teeth, treatment and expected timeframe for progress are complete and unhurriedly delivered. He does not seem to urge more work than is necessary. He's great with kids and parents. Facilities are somewhat cramped as most are in Manhattan, but the seats are comfortable and the VCR is usually playing a recent Disney-style movie or tv show.

Dr Gibbs is both a wonderful professional and a very nice and kind person.
Most of his patients are children of course; I came as an adult and I have very impressive results after a few months without pain.
I would recommend him to any friend.

He's a wonderful kind orhadontist. His team is extreamly nice, he has a great treatment, and theres even a nice movie showing when you come in that you can watch during your apoitment as well as in the waiting room.

Dr. Gibbs is a pleasure. He did a great job straightening my teeth. His demeanor was always friendly and warm..The office staff was caring and professional. I would recommend him without reservation
