im his patient for 2 years he was the worst dendist i have seen i had gum infection he did not take care of it he did the braces without evaluating the gums as result i had 30% bone loss my front lower teeth than i had to go periodendist who names kayhan civelek to take my gum problems because mr nikolay failed kayhan civelek resisted all my demandhe did not complaint with my reguest at all he was over stating his job he was not telling right diagnoses so i run away i filed complaint with depatment of education professinal discipline nothing happened civelek did not return my money i did not have more money to go another dendist i wrote also negative review about civelek i got scaredi would get infection so i showed up one more time civelek filed 6 of my good teeth very very violantly civelek has anger related personality issues he express his anger indirect way very very dangerous so i went nicilay nicolay told me hecant bad mouth about civelek because he was hiscollegue he ignored civeleks job he refused to evaluate his job even perio and orho is related they depend each other there was conflict of interest nikolay breached his fudiciary duties his patient he was not doing job properly he was also c

Hard to believe but I went back for braces at 48 years old to straighten a crooked tooth, etc. Dr. Nicholay was fabulous - very considerate - and very efficient. He always took appts on time and never wasted my time while being treated. He was very knowledgable and explained each step to me along the way as well as provided a thorough explanation at the beginning as to what he intended to do...he also teaches at NYU - so his knowledge is very up-to-date and hands on. I highly recommend him.

As an adult going through the process of having braces, I will say that my experience was fantastic...largely thanks to the expert and wonderful care of Dr. Nicolay. He is extremely professional and competent, but balances that with a sympathy and understanding of the trauma and angst of adult patients. He was very realistic about expectations--and the results were fabulous. I owe my new 1000 watt smile to his great care!

Dr. Nicholay straightened my teenage daughter's teeth and did a fine job - very pleasant. Now in my late 40's, I also went to have treatment after seeing the fine work he does. Admittedly, I was petrified to have full braces on at such a late age - now I only regret that I hadn't done it sooner. Dr. Nicholay took all precautions by photographing my profile and doing the math to make sure that the teeth had enough room to align - he showed me all of this on a computer terminal....he also suggested that I see a peridontist before treatment began to make sure that I would have no gum issues. I feel very comfortabel with how the process has proceeded and could only recommend him with the utmost confidence. I can't imagine a better professional in the discipline.
