Like many ppl on the reviews, I, too, went to Dr. Perahia in my teens (14 to be exact). At the time, my parents were a low-income family and qualified for full financial assistance/Medicaid- so I never really knew the cost of this treatment. Yes, the Dr is not a chatty, personable and charismatic man. But he’s a wizard. He knows his craft. He’s a non-nonsense, no bs, old school, older man who is easily irritated by whiny teens who neglect their dental care and who don’t follow his instructions and neglect to do their part of the treatment (which is essential and 90% of the work). I was always on point. Followed all his instructions to a T and then some! My teeth were super twisted with teeth on top of others-I required the removal of 4 molars in order to make space to adjust and pull back so many teeth. I had rubber bands on 8 parts of my mouth-it was a lot! . But needless to say, I finished my treatment in less than 2yrs (sept 2004-may 2006). (14-16yrs old). I played my part and the man did his. I wore my retainers for the time he indicated. I’m now 38 and my smile is still one of my strongest attributes- everyone always compliments my teeth and beautiful, gorgeous smile. THANK YOU DR. This man is a tyrant. I went to him in my teens and had braces on for 10 years, never finished straightening my teeth and had to finally get them removed by someone else. He was mean and rude and never wanted to explain what each procedure or step was for. This man is one of the reasons why I don't trust dentists today.

i would not recomend this Dr to any one. very rude and unprofessional when talk to his customers and he has a crew that has very little experiance. my Daugther's work was suppose to be completed almost a year ago and it is still going.

The procedure for the braces treatment has been very confortable. Once i get on the seat it takes about 30min to finish. The process is made as less painfull and possible and the people are very fun to be around in. I recomend this doctor the best in my area.
