The doctors pushed to have work done as early as fourth grade, and after years of teeth pulling, retainers, expanders, headgear, and braces, we were not too happy. The doctor suggested an another immediate extraction so my daughter's gums were not thinned on her other teeth (however, we never got an explanation on why this is bad). We finally decided to get a second opinion, and happily switched to a different orthodontist. My daughter has had orthodontic work for 6 long years now.
In terms of billing, the records for our daughter seemed misplaced. We didn't get billed for 'phase 2' until months after it had started, which we are still confused on.
