My daughter has been a finger sucker since birth. I went to Dr. Riggs for a 2nd opinion on correcting my daughter's overbite. He did not rush me into a treatment option and recommended that I wait before starting anything. I appreciate his honesty. It shows that he cares more about the patient then money.

Dr. Riggs has been great with our daughter. He's definitely a "NO STRESS" orthodontist.

My daughter started with Dr Riggs in 4th grade, we gave up in her 3rd year of college. She had several great treatment plans but the last, which was a 4 yr of braces went horrible. In the end he kept just telling us he will take the braces off whenever we were ready. My daughter finally gave up after 4 year in the same braces. She had a terrible overbite, tooth behind the front teeth, and a 12 yr molar sidewides. We were told repeatedly that her teeth were in danger of falling out if we kept up with treatment. After all these years of being a loyal patient you would think my daughter had a great smile but the oposite is true. We are now undergoing treatment with some new who is willing to actual move her teeth and make improvements. When we would confront Dr. Riggs with our concerns he would flat out lie and say that we were the one who requested things not be done! Whoever would want that for their daughter. I would stay away, far away from this orthodontist. I can't tell you how many employees I have seen come and go in his office, to me is not a good sign either. It was to late for us but please heed my warning and stay away.

My son was in braces for 7, yes, you read correctly, 7 years! His situation wasn't unusual. Dr. Riggs wants to stretch out the treatment for as long as possible...especially if you have Ortho insurance. On top of that, the finished product wasn't very good. I had to take my son to another Ortho for opinions on how to fix Dr. Riggs' yet unfinished procedures.

I cannot rate on the success as of yet because I have a little while to go with my braces but I have the clear, ceramic braces which come off soon. Dr Riggs and the staff are very helpful, they explain everything in detail and make suggestions to help you make the right decision for your treatment. They are all very friendly and have done a great job with my teeth thus far, I see big improvements already and I can't wait to see the end result. Highly suggested.
